Rihanna Says She Connected with Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie"

Rihanna felt a personal connection to “Love the Way You Lie,” her collaboration with Eminem, for rather obvious reasons. She says she was moved by how Em addresses in his song painful relationships, a subject she knows too well, having been the victim of domestic violence at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. She tells Access Hollywood, “It was believable for us to do a record like that, but it was also something that needed to be done and the way he did it was so clever.” Rihanna says she was drawn to the song because “the lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and intense. It’s something that I understood, something I connected with.” 

The video for “Love the Way You Lie,” starring Megan Fox and former Lost and Lord of the Rings actor Dominic Monaghan, is expected to premiere sometime this week.
